As you’ve probably heard, last weekend there was an incident in Münster, Germany where a car drove in a café full of people, killing at least 3. Normally, my reaction to this kind of breaking news is to always avoid social media and news tv channels in the first few hours.

I used to spent all of my commute either with unimportant private stuff that I would rather deal with in the evenings and weekends or with work stuff outside of my work hours.

Googling yourself is associated with a lot of bad prejudices and in the general opinion often means that this person is very egocentric and only cares about himself. In my opinion this is a bullshit. In this day and age it has never been more vital to check and control the content that is out there for everyone to find. And the easiest method to check literally is a google search of your name.

Serial hat im Herbst 2014 einen riesigen Knall in den USA ausgelöst und die Podcast Szene dort, aber auch in Deutschland in den Fokus der breiteren Öffentlichkeit gerückt. Zum ersten Mal wurde ich von Freunden und Bekannten nach "Podcasts" ausgefragt und viele entdeckten zum ersten Mal Podcast Apps auf ihren Smartphones.

Eigentlich bin ich begeisterter iPhone und Mac OS X Nutzer. Sehr gerne schaue ich aber auch über den berühmten Tellerrand hinaus und war im Jahre 2014 nach 6 durchgehenden Jahren ausschliesslicher iPhone Nutzung erstmalig für einen ganzen Monat mit einem Android, dem OnePlus One unterwegs. Wer mag kann nachlesen, warum ich gewechselt und nach einem Monat doch wieder zu iOS zurückgekehrt bin. Aus verschiedenen Gründen habe ich mich nun entschieden ein Windows Phone – das Microsoft Lumia 535 – zu kaufen und möchte kurz die ersten Eindrücke skizzieren.
